COVID-19: CNRS – evolution of coronavirus guidelines
Message updated by the CNRS on 03/03/2020.
Those that have a particular influence on the ASEAN & Oceania region are the following:
Return Travel Guidelines
As the virus is already circulating on French territory, there is no longer any reason not to welcome in our establishments people returning from foreign countries where there is also an active circulation of the virus (except for the Chinese province of Hubei).
Students and staff of higher education institutions and research organizations returning from foreign countries where the virus is circulating (except Hubei province in China):
can return to their institutions;
are invited to slow down their social life and to self-monitor (taking their temperature twice a day).
Travel instructions
Missions abroad, as well as personal travel, outside the European Union or in high-risk areas in Europe must be postponed as much as possible, unless there is a proven need to do so.
The government website contains a great deal of information on the virus, precautions to take, risk areas, etc. This information is constantly updated.
Reminder: many countries have special instructions because of this virus. It is necessary for people leaving on a mission, whatever their destination, to consult the instructions for travellers from the countries concerned by their trip on the MEAE site until the last moment before their departure. The WHO FAQs are also useful.
